Marie gives workshops on electroacoustic composition, improvisation with voice, and improvisation with conduction using sign languages such as Soundpainting.
Besides obtaining a degree in Music Education as a music and singing teacher from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague in July 2010, Marie always deepened her knowledge on voice technique, voice anatomy and voice therapy, by attending courses such as the Voice Anatomy course of Rob Stallinga (2006), the Complete Vocal Technique courses by Sanna van Vliet (2009) and by Catherine Sadolin (2010), the Estill Vocal Training introduction course by Anja Blom (2009) and the Estill Vocal Training course Level One and Two by Dorte Hyldstrup (2012). Being passionate by free improvisation and active in this field, it is very naturally that Marie started to lead workshops for voice and/or free improvisation. After teaching individual singing lessons for several years, Marie focuses now on giving workshop of vocal (free) improvisation.
Marie also gives workshops of composition with sounds and fields recordings and of Soundpainting (improvisation with conduction).
"My idea is to encourage musicians to renew their creative inspiration, increase their skills and self-confidence in improvising, receive a multitude of enjoyable practice techniques for musical growth, and play with other creative, supportive musicians."
